Hi,

I'm trying to figure out if the man in these marriage records is the same. Would someone be so kind to translate them for me? They should be for Roch Kowalczyk from Bagienice.

It looks like the Latin record has the same parents names but I'm not quite sure.

Many thanks,
Carolyn

Hi Andrzej,

Safe to assume these are the same Roch Kowalczyk? Jacob Krawczak, named as witness and brother in law, was Rozalia's brother! I have his birth record with confirmed parents! Rozalia dies 1 September 1813, so Roch remarrying with small kids so quickly makes sense, yes?

Thank you so much - this is a breakthrough in my tree if you think it's right!
Regards,
Carolyn

Yes, I think so too (despite the fact that there's a difference between these 2 documents regarding the name of Roch's mother: Marianna or Katarzyna; but it may be an error in the record).

So glad to hear you agree! I have combed the records and only found one Roch Kowalczyk birth record from 1773 on. This really helps solve a big mystery for me. :-)

Carolyn
